School Uniform
What should my child wear to school?
Our school uniform consists of:
- Grey trousers, shorts or skirt
- Pale blue polo-shirt
- Royal blue school jumpers or cardigans
- In the summer term, girls may wear a blue and white checked dress.
All items should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Where can I purchase School Uniform?
School Uniform can be purchased from https://www.smartacademyuniform.co.uk/
What about outer clothing?
Children should always have a waterproof coat at school as we like them to be able to go outdoors unless the weather conditions make this impossible. In extended periods of wet weather wellies may be bought into school but umbrellas are not allowed. In summertime, children must bring in a sun hat and wear a high factor sunscreen. We also like the children to have a named, clear water bottle at school throughout the year. This must contain only water and be no bigger than 500ml (it can be refilled at during the day).
What clothes does my child need for PE?
School PE hoodies and polo tops are available to purchase from the School Office. Children need to wear a navy jogging trousers, navy sports socks and black shorts. We ask that children wear white, grey or black trainers. Children come to school dressed in their PE kits on the days that they have PE.
Does my child need a school bag?
School book bags are ideal, rucksacks are not encouraged because they are too bulky. A Wilden VA Primary School book bag is recommended and can be purchased at the School Office. As children move up into Year 5, lockers are allocated and small rucksacks can be stored.
Will my child need to bring anything else to school?
Children may be required to wear different clothes for special events such as visits, Forest School or dressing up days.
All stationery is provided by school for children up to Year 5. Children are invited to bring in their own pencil cases once they reach Year 5.
What should I do if some of my child’s clothing gets lost at school?
Please let the class teacher know as soon as possible if something has been lost. If school wear is named it usually finds its way back to its owner. Unnamed school wear wastes a lot of time for us all.
